Express Mail envelopes, labels, and boxes may be ordered online at The Postal Store
and are available at Post Offices. Features include delivery to Post Office boxes,
rural addresses, and domestic prices for APO and FPO addresses.
Hold For Pickup Service allows the addressee to pickup an Express Mail shipment at the
destination Post Office by 10 a.m., 12 p.m., or 3 p.m. of the next day the destination
office is open for retail business. The designated contact person is notified by
"automated call" when the shipment is available for pickup and is provided the address
information for the destination Post Office. Express Mail Hold For Pickup Service is
available at no additional charge.

When sealing a flat-rate box or flat-rate envelope, the container flaps must be able to
close within the normal folds. Tape may be applied to the flaps and seams to reinforce
the container; provided the design of the container is not enlarged by opening the sides
and the container is not reconstructed in any way.

Any mailable item sent in a flat-rate envelope provided by the Postal
Service, regardless of weight or destination, costs $16.50.
